Artist Bio

John Abella is a multi-instrumentalist based in Philadelphia. He started his early career playing guitar as a teen playing at school dances, parties, festivals and events. As a young adult moved to San Francisco and was playing professionally in the blues scene. Meanwhile creating his own original projects, consisting of original rock band Johnny's Problem and switching between piano and guitar in eclectic group The Dorkestra performing with The San Fransisco Burlesque Troupe. He moved to Los Angeles in the early 2000s where he started working as a composer on various films and TV shows. John currently performs live with his own project Honey Pie Jones and collaborates with many artists and records and produces several projects in his own home studio.
